Top-tier panels carry performance warranties of 25 to 30 years and projected useful lives beyond that. Inverters typically last 10 to 15 years and are replaced through the project's OPEX.

For the investor: projects are usually modelled over 20 to 25 years. At the end of that period the asset may keep operating or the SPV may sell it — that is the residual value.
