What is top line or gross revenue?

Top line literally means the top line of the income statement: everything that comes in, before subtracting any cost. It is not profit; it is scale.

It is useful for sizing a business's potential, but it must never be confused with what is left at the end. A project can have a huge top line and still not be profitable.

Example: the report's consolidated projection shows COP 102.8 million per month in Year 3+. The report states explicitly that these are gross revenues by source, without deducting costs: projected billings, not profit.
